FAQ – Billing for Unfinished Work

FAQ – How Does Billing Work if I Can’t Finish a Scheduled Tattoo Session?

This is a common question we often receive, albeit rare in practice, which is a valid concern for our clientele. So, if you can’t finish your tattoo during your scheduled session, how does the billing process work, exactly?

Our pricing is based on a flat fee for the completion of a tattoo design, not an hourly rate. This flat fee includes the time spent on consultation, design, setup/materials, and the tattoo process itself. If you are unable to co,mplete the tattoo in one session due to pain tolerance or personal reasons (i.e. “tapping out”), an additional fee will apply to reschedule and complete the tattoo at a later date. This fee accounts for the extra time and materials needed to finish the piece in question, and the rate is determined in real-time at the appointment based on how much work still needs to be done to complete the piece.

Please communicate with us during the tattoo if you are feeling unwell or overwhelmed – we want you to have the best experience possible. That being said, choosing to end a session early does not change the agreed-upon price for the appointment, and payment will still need to be made in full before leaving the studio.
